Daily procedures

1. Get assignment sheet and write today's assignment. Grade can be 80 - 100

2.When I am giving instructions,be in a seat

3. When I am giving instructions, electronic devices should be invisible

4. Do not interfere with instructions or disrupt class

5. Turn in your assignment sheet at the end of class.



• Computers, cell phones, and electronic devices are to be used for classwork and school work only.



Do Today:

1. Sepia plus color

2. Black and white mask and 

black and white plus color

Directions:

1. After opening the photo in Photoshop, add 2 copies of the background layer. Com + J. Do this twice.

2. Click on the adjustments layer icon and select Black & White




3. While the black and white adjustment layer is still visible and highlighted blue, go to the layer menu panel, click the arrow, and select Merge Down. Note: Be sure to turn off Layer 1 before selecting merge down.




4. Turn layer 1 back on by clicking on the eyeball. Layer 1 should now appear in color.
5. On the new black and white layer, go to brushes and pick a soft brush.
6. Take the flow down to about 10%.
7. Make the brush colors black and white.
8. Use the black brush and paint over the white mask. You will begin to see color from layer 1 appearing. Continue until get what you want.


Note: 

•You may need to adjust brush size and flow as you work.
•Always paint on the white layer mask.
•If you bring too much color back, change the brush color to white and paint. The color areas you do not want will go away.
